This was done for Tertia (commissioned by Denis) for her 50th birthday. It's a symbolic piece on the second half of her life. The painting includes the first half (shown by stars representing family and friends, and the bricks of the road made up by experiences in her life that pave the way for what's to come.) The road ahead is filled with the unkown but ultimately leads to wholeness. This painting is very personilised for Tertia, it has a lot of images that represent different parts of her and her journey through life.

Hi!
I have created this blog so that you can all keep track of my art!! I'll be uploading any new paintings I do.
I would love any comments or constructive critisism and obviously if anyone has any contacts in the art world (for exhibiting etc) that would be great!!

Me and Ryan: did this one as a present for Ryan

Thoughts: This one I did for Joanne, background represents ones thoughts and how they sometimes don't seem to make sense.

This one was commissioned by a friend for her little girls room, she absolutely loves unicorns, burtterflys and cats so this is how those three things came together!

Emma: another commissioned piece for a friend at work. This is her husbands beloved dog Emma, she gave these to him as a birthday gift and they are now proudly displayed in the lounge :)
Commissioned by a girl at work, these are her children Greg and Hannah. I asked her to give me a list of their favorite things and that is what I have etched into the background.

Lovers: commissioned by another friend at work, she let me do what I wanted so I chose to do a piece about relationships. She is engaged and just moved in with her fiance. This is about how in any relationship you become joined to your partner/friend in some way. (as you can see, the top arms are interchangable between the two bodies, and the bodies are joined at the bottom)

Abstract: Smit family, I did this one as a gift for the Smit family. The circles represent all the members of the family and the shapes in the background have been interperated in many different ways.. just depends how you look at it and how wide your imagination is!!
